1984 Memo: Alito Backed Cops Who Shot Unarmed Teenager

Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito's views on abortion were in the news this week, but yet another memo has surfaced from his years as a Reagan administration laywer.
Alito wrote that he saw no constitutional problem with a police officer shooting and killing an unarmed teenager who was fleeing after a $ 10 home burglary.
Alito wrote in a memo to Justice Department officials, "I think the shooting in this case can be justified as reasonable." He added that because the officer could not know for sure why a suspect was fleeing, the courts should not set a rule forbidding the use of deadly force. -WHAT??
The 4th Amendment forbids " unreasonable searches and seizures" by the goverment, and the high court said that killing an unarmed suspect who was subject to arrest amounted to an "unreasonable seizure". Justice Byron White said, " A police officer may not seize an unarmed, non-dangerous suspect by shooting him dead."
This particular subject hits very close to home for me, for I lost someone I loved very much (who was unarmed & fleeing police) to a trigger-happy cop. The fact that Alito felt it "reasonable" to shoot and kill an unarmed, fleeing teenager, casts serious doubt to me whether or not this man can "reasonably" serve on the Supreme Court. Not to mention his agenda to overturn Roe v. Wade, which he has laid out a strategy for.
This man has NO place on the Supreme Court!
