Bush Accepts Responsibility For Going To War W/ Faulty Intel

The President Chimp said today that he accepts responsibility for going to war with faulty intelligence, but in the same breath, firmly defended the decision. " It's true that much of the intelligence was wrong. As president I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq. And I'm also responsible for fixing what went wrong by reforming our intelligence capabilities. And we're doing just that." He later went on to say, " We are in Iraq today because our goal has always been more than the removal of a brutal dictator. It is to leave a free and democratic Iraq in his place."
Yeah, it's always been alot more than the removal of a brutal dictator--OIL!, Middle East domination! If Bush really wanted to be truthful with the American public he would have added those reasons as well.
Polls have showed that people feel the United States is losing ground in reducing civilian casualties in Iraq. Violence in Iraq has shown no signs of waning, and most Americans are unhappy with Bush's handling of the war.
Bush stated, " Victory will be achieved by meeting certain objectives: when the terrorists and Saddamists can no longer threaten Iraq's democracy, when the Iraqi security forces can protect their own people, and when Iraq is not a safe haven for terrorists to plot attacks against our country, these objectives, not timelines set by politicians in Washington, will drive our force levels in Iraq."
First of all, the "terrorists" & "Saddamists" are threatening Iraq's democracy because it was brutally forced upon them by United States troops bombing and shooting anyone who disagreed. This country did not plea nor beg nor ask us to invade them & turn their country "democratic". Bush has always wanted to invade Iraq & take out Saddam. He wanted to please his daddy, who never finished the job. The Sept 11th attacks were just an excuse he used to fullfill his dreams & aspirations for Iraq. There was never any links between Al-Qaeda (who attacked us 9/11) and Iraq. That has not only been proven, but Bush now is slowwwwly letting himself release those words from his mouth. Al-Qaeda is not Iraq. If anything, Afghanistan is. The real target after 9/11 should have been Afghanistan. Bush used a tragedy to fullfill his wants of Iraqi oil, securing a Middle East stronghold & taking out Saddam--all for very personal reasons. He is nothing but a Neo-Con who thinks that he can turn any country "democratic" by using extreme force & bravado. Country's do not go to war because they feel that another country's leader is a "brutal dictator"--there are other means of either removing them from power, or investigating--by using our intelligence or NATO or inspectors. But Bush kicked them out before they could conclude their work. I guess they weren't finding any weapons of mass destruction fast enough for Bush--for there were none.
And Bush has yet to catch Bin-Ladin. You remember him, right? The person behind the 9/11 attacks. The one that should be in the same predicament Saddam is in right now. Bush is ass-backwards, & the fact that he cannot catch Bim-Ladin & bring him to justice is proof. He's used all his resources to attack a country that had NOTHING to do with 9/11!
It saddens me that all those U.S. troops in Iraq have died for Bush's personal mission, & that it had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
The president has his head up his own ass!
