United States Warns Canada Not To Bash U.S.

I say...Bash away!! But United States Ambassador, David Wilkins seems to disagree.
Today, The United States butted it's head into Canada's election campaign, warning politicians not to bash Washington in their bid to win voter support on January 23rd.
U.S. Ambassador Wilkins said, " Canada never has to tear the United States down to build itself up." " It may be smart election politics to thump your chest and constantly criticize your friend and your No. 1 trading partner. But it's a slippery slope and all of us should hope it dosen't have a long term impact on our relationship."
Although Wilkins did not specify to whom his remarks referred to, they appear aimed at Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin, who has attacked the United States over a bilateral dispute over softwood lumber exports. Last week Martin criticized the Bush administration for it's half-assed approach on climate change, saying that Washington should listen to the "global conscience" on the enviroment.
Wilkins response was, " I would respectfully submit to you that when it comes to a 'global conscience' the United States is walking the walk."
BULLSHIT! Canada has every right to bash the hell outta the Bush regime for it's lackluster approach to global warming and the enviroment as a whole! (see my previous post about Global Warming & Bush/Blairs lack of care) Other countries do have a right to talk shit about the United States when it comes to the enviroment and global warming...Why, you ask? Because the world & the enviroment belongs to us all, and if there happens to be a country whose President has made it obvious he could give a flying fuck about our enviroment, then well , bash away. We can't allow one ignorant idiot to screw over the world without at least giving him hell for it, ya know? Global warming is a real issue that needs attention. Just because Bush cannot physically see or feel the results right this minute, does not mean they do not exisit, or won't become more of an issue in years to come.
So to all my Canadian readers & friends....Bash away!!!!! I certainly won't be offended.
